3 Pillars Network relies on Simplogy consultant as a trusted Web business adviser in planning a new business
In the fourth quarter of 2009, the founders of 3 Pillars Network were planning to expand their venture – a network of sustainability professionals leveraging a successful track record of producing professional development events over two years. A key component of the business was its Web site, its online network, a membership system and a subscriber base. These digital assets will be the venture’s key success factors.
- Hasnain Zaheer, a Simplogy consultant was hired as a trusted Web business adviser and was involved right from the project’s planning stage.
- He immersed himself into understanding customers, markets, competition and SWOT.
- Meanwhile, he made minor changes in the current Web site so that it ranked higher in search engines, added a subscription form to capture contact details of visitors and added content that may interest target audience.
- He was involved in meetings that led to shaping a digital strategy for the new company.
- He was involved in meetings with developers, was asked to review business requirements documents and to provide inputs to help arrive at hiring and contracting decisions.
Richard Milroy, Director of Dealers’ Group summed up the result:
3 Pillars Network started off with an online focus. We are getting results in terms of recognition, reach and engagement in 3 months that we expected in about a year. Hasnain’s work has been excellent.
Hasnain has continued to work with the Web manager of 3 Pillars Network to analyse requirements and features, while bringing on new ideas for the current Web site. Richard Milroy noted:
With the help of Simplogy’s Hasnain, we have already made a great start driven by strategy. We now believe that independent, unbiased, trusted advice in Web business is essential.
